As someone who is infamously indecisive, creating my personal branding was a daunting task. I was concerned about the idea of distilling who I am into a tiny mark which I will be judged on by potential employers. Because of this, I wanted to make sure to really took the time to sketch and explore different directions before nailing something down.
My brand essence is intuitive spark and my target audience is creative directors and small freelance accounts in the Vancouver area. I wanted a simple mark to communicate who I am; I found myself drawn to the geometric shapes of a half circle and triangle to keep the design streamlined. I also drifted towards icons (as I do) and logo systems.
In all, I would give myself an A for this portion of the project as I feel like I worked through a variety of concepts and gave myself a lot to work with going into the next portion of this assignment.
